Last night, Alok, Kieran, and I were sleeping at around 5am when I opened my eyes just in time to see a bat fly across the bedroom and into the curtains. Alok was also kind of awake and when I screamed "bat," he rallied much faster than last time. (We figure we must have heard it and it kind of woke us up). He screamed for me to grab Kieran and to turn on the lights. I grab the baby from his pack and play and am leaning over him (as he stays asleep) to protect him from the bat that is now swarming our heads. Alok has his handy bat stunner (aka the top of a storage container) and proceeds to hit it. This time though, it keeps coming at us. After a minute or so, I was able to run out into the nursery with the baby. It took Alok several minutes to wrangle this bat in our bedroom.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that there is somewhere in our master bedroom that they are getting in. Alok spray foamed all of the obvious potential places after the last incident. Any ideas? I was about to have a heart attack for the 2nd time in a week. Sigh.
