The floors are done, man.... the floors are done....

The first person to name that adaptation of a movie quote gets..... well bragging rights.

As this post title suggests, the floors are complete!!! I believe that part of the wood floor in the kitchen still needs to be finished and we have not yet laid the tile or any of the wood in the areas that needed no floors BUT all of the floors are refinished!! Pretty exciting. Having pictures would probably be more exciting, but I was told that we cannot walk on them until Sunday.

So, what are we doing now? On my to-do list prior to move in is:

1. to get the tile laid in the kitchen (Alok will do it)
2. buy kitchen appliances (we have shopping to do!)
   
3. have the whole interior painted and re-paint the cabinets (by our lovely indoor house painter, Ron)
   
4. either finish the master bath or the apartment bath so we have 1 new usable, full bath. Both require tiling. The bathtubs, etc are already in for both.
   
5. hang the stain glass window (how, I don't know!)... we just really need to get it up so that it isn't destroyed later.
   
6. finish the tile in the laundry room (Alok just needs to seal it)
7. Move the washer/dryer in the laundry room (at least we own this!)
8. repair the drywall in the 3 areas that weren't finished (our indoor house painter can do this)
9. refinish the stairs (Alok)
10. Make sure all of our windows are sealed/not leaky
11. Make sure that all pet hazards are removed (holes in floors, nails sticking out, heavy window weights exposed, etc).
12. Remove our lovely broken window that is above one of the doors. Either get it re-pained or just move it so someone isn't killed by it.
13. Remove any leftover trim that needs to be stripped or strip it.
14. Put in shelving, etc in at least our closet.
    
15. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN
16. Move the junk out of the house (pieces of wood, etc. This will be easier when we can move stuff in)

I have a feeling that I have a few more items on here than Alok, but that's to be expected. This list actually isn't bad!

We have tentatively set our move in date for the week of April 12th-ish. A major celebration will then follow!! (Do we think this one will really stick?!)
