I snuck over to the house today to see the progress. It looks like Alok has been having fun scraping the outside of the house. This is the only parts that are left that are tan:
We are trying to beat the weather on this one!!
In other news, here are the pre-finished wood floors that are going in Alok's office:
And here is the not so finished wood floor.Given the fact that they are really having to sort through it and sand things down to make it level, I think they are moving pretty quickly. It will still be several more days before it's all laid. Here it is now:
Last night, we also had a few exciting trip to Lowes in which we bought doors. We don't have doors for the apartment bath, basement, or closet, so we just bought oak doors to put in. We didn't really have to have all 3 right now, but we wanted them to match. One will cover up this lovely basement area (the old door has been removed):
and will allow us to have a door, rather than a shower curtain, for this bathroom:
Then, we can at least move the shower curtain to another bathroom that lacks a door ;-)
The nursery also had another thorough cleaning. It is looking good, but obviously it's not exactly baby ready yet:
We are also not baby ready yet, so let's hope that the days to baby are very close to the 44 days in the countdown.
