New discoveries

Alok is continuing to work on improving this apartment fireplace area. Notice the difference between the clean brick on the bottom and the brick to be cleaned on the top.  I'm avoiding the house today so that he can continue to clean this off (it generates wayyyyyy too much dust for me to be present). 

Notice the uber-modern track lights we picked out at some point in the past... hmmm... that was a questionable decision, but it's definitely not the only questionable decision in this house.  Hey, we have light.  

With more destruction, there are more finds.  Now, it's all broken/ripped, but check out what was behind the mantle:  













This was for J.E. Weems (aka the first owner of the house) and appears to be a receipt for the Weems' Family Laundry (in case you can't read).  This is the actual address of the house.  Pretty cool!

Now, what to do with old broken papers so they don't get further destroyed?
