Some progress was made outside of the very blue house today. Here are the pictures:
Alok may or may not have pulled up single the Smurfs theme song. Right now our house kind of reminds me of a mullet. It's one thing when you pull up and a whole other thing when you turn around back.
In other news, we also have some grass growing, so that's exciting:

After taking these pictures, I went downstairs and primed siding for a few hours. I thought I smelled something funny, but figured it was the paint. When Alok came over a few hours later (I get off work much earlier than him) he thought he smelled gas. He also mentioned that other people had said they smelled gas over the past few days. We decided to call Ameren and vacate the house.
Ameren came out, complete with a very nice guy who looked like he was carrying a smaller version of a proton pack, and investigated. After crawling around the basement (it was a hysterical mix of Ghostbusters/ The Burbs), he discovered a small gas leak in our massive, old boiler. The good news is that it wasn't major and was a pretty easy fix. The bad news is that maybe things weren't so funny, it was just the gas.
We decided to take the night off after that one.

glad you got that fixed, Carbon monoxide poisoning is really dangerous!! The house is going to look so different after all these years, I wonder what the Brown sisters will think? :)
