A day off from the house.... at 2Thirty4

 August 15, 2012

August 15th marked our 3rd wedding anniversary. When I asked Alok what we were doing that night, he said "scraping chimneys."  When I asked him again (thinking he was out of his mind), he repeatedly said "scraping chimneys...."   The toxins in the house had obviously gone to his head, so I made alternate plans.

For our honeymoon, we went to Maine and ate a lot of lobster.  I was very excited to hear that 2Thirty4 (a GREAT new restaurant owned by my friends) had lobster.  It didn't let us down.

Here we are celebrating (don't worry, that lovely drink in front of me is non-alcoholic.... can't say the same for Alok's):

And here is the amazing lobster dinner:

Alok was also jealous of Chef Kelley's ability to make rice.   He's working out an exchange for rice making lessons.

We also had a Cesar salad and cheesecake but devoured it too fast for photography ;-)

Now, we generally keep this blog house focused BUT I just had to make sure that everyone knew to go and check out 2Thirty4 (http://www.facebook.com/2Thirty4).

Not to oversell things, but Alok (who is very food critical) said that he had the best burger at lunch that he had ever had.  Plus, it's hard to get him to go to the same place 2 days in a row, so it must be good.

More on the actual house later.  Oh, these are pictures prior to 2Thiry4 opening, but Alok did participate in the building of the bar that allowed him to drink his delicious drinks last night. Here he is with Eric:

For those of you who aren't facebook connected, 2Thirty4 is at 234 N 12th in Quincy.
