More painting..... and raking...... and......

November 7, 2010

Today, Alok woke up early due to the time change and headed over to the house to paint the siding. I joined him a few hours later. Here is the siding after:

As well as some trim:

I know, so much different than every other day.

We also worked on painting the part of the outside that we primed yesterday. Here it was at the beginning:

During the painting:

A squirrel checking out the new paint colors

And at the end of the day:

The painting wasn't without incident. We had some paint on the new deck afterwards. We took some pictures as evidence with the hopes of identifying the culprit. Any ideas?

We still have some work to do here. I especially love the hunter green window area. Maybe we should just leave that.

My mom worked on raking up the yard, and filled numerous bags of leaves. Here is her work:

Alex wondering why she can't move farther

Giving Alok a board to try to clean up the yard

One of the major culprits

Trying to figure out how the poison works

Some, but not all, bags

Filing up some other bags.... the never ending battle

She also used Tarnon, which is apparently a turquoise colored poison, to try to get rid of some of the ivy roots that are coming up through the flagstone patio. So, she was poisoning the ivy, not to be confused with poison ivy.

Die, pretty roots, die!

That's all for today,

Jessica
