Day 8

Well, I hear that I let down my loyal readers (aka Patrick Lyskawa) by not posting yesterday. It was one long day of wallpaper peeling and after celebrating with some Mexican food and a margarita, we decided we were too tired to even go see a movie and went home. Excuses, excuses, I know. So, hopefully these today make up for it ;-)

We just completed our 8th day of work on the house. My mom, Alok, my dad, and Missy were there for a good chunk of it and we worked on scrapping wallpaper and the laundry room area. Here it is:

The air conditioner is still there, but we took the air conditioner out of this window. Alok didn't catch a picture of it, but there was a sock holding it up because the window frame was broken. The carpets also made their way down to the porch.

FYI poorly installed window unit air conditioners= bad water damage.

Alex has also enjoyed her week at the Hampshire house and has decided that it the equivalent of a dog park. She'll be upset when there's furniture in here.... although that's so far off we don't even have to think about it!

Alok worked on the laundry room. Apparently the carpet was nailed to the floor (through the carpet) and then the nails were bent over! That's a time saving carpet installing technique. Here is the laundry room as it is now:

Question of the day, would you paint this room and destroy the natural sauna look?
